- TP: You're wasting your time waiting around here. I mean--you're destined for something great.
- ML: Not anymore.
- TP: What?! Eeew. You're putting on the low-self-esteem thingy. (laughs)
- ML: I'm saying, I'm done waiting. And I wasn't wasting my time all along. You were worth the wait.
- She was right, he was destined for something great. Something great that was not here.
- So, hadn't he wasted his time, indeed, waiting for someone he can't be with in a place where that 'something great' exists?
Unsolicited adjectives. Unsolicited advices to random people. From random people.
Friday was a flood of things that a single blog won’t do. Can’t encompass.
I got engaged to a lot of talking, I heard a lot of hearts, I learned a lot of things.
1.) I learned that majority of my friends thought I am a snob before we got to know each other.
X: I swear to my feet! I felt invisible around you!
Me: That sounds cheesy if you’d ask.
(everyone laughs)
2.) I learned that book smart-people can admit the fact that they are not street-smart. I admire her. She’s smart indeed.
3.) Lines of the conversation to ponder upon:
-I don’t forgive much. Does that mean I love less?
4.) I see friendships fall apart.
5.) I wish I had enough patience for them. I guarantee, you won’t regret like I do if you just spare them some criticism.
6.)
X2: You’re not bipolar(laughs) You’re just—(thinks)
Me: Yeah right, I heard it. Snob. Whatever. I’m not, ok?
X2: No, not snob. Wary? No not wary
Me: Aloof? Odd? Ostracized?
(we laugh)
X2: No. Just—guarded.
Me: Whatever. You’re guarded too. Whatever you mean by that.
X2: (chuckles) Don’t make it sound like “ I hate you, I hate you too”!
Me: Whatever. I’ll write that in my resume if that’s what you want. (laughs)
7.) I didn’t feel welcome when I got back. I feel super bad I almost hate to you guys. But I realized it was my fault—I didn’t reach out. I’m sorry. I’m liable. (everyone laughs again)
8.) You don’t have to be friends with someone to be able to work well with him or her. That’s weak. Don’t be a doormat.
9.) Don’t put so much screening on people who want to be part of your life. Sometimes putting your guard down is safer.
10.) Weigh before judging.
I heard myself greeting myself good morning that day. It was. Last Friday was a good day.
I went to school at 9 to meet with my friends before going to class at 10. My (hateful) Philosophy professor dismissed us as early so I sorted some things out.
I went back to school for my 1pm class that was moved to 2.
It was a typical day until I heard a heart break.
I went to the hall for an event. I forgot to take my ticket from Ms. Witness the day before but I took a shot anyway. If I couldn’t get in, I thought, I’ll un-cancel my dinner plan with my best friends—they invited B, our high school classmate/my crying buddy(I miss him). But when I got to the hall, I was surprised to know that the show’s host got a ticket ready for me (thanks, H). I stayed out of gratitude. And friendship.
I sat with Ms. Witness along with our other friends. It was a great show.
Ms. Witness: hey, I heard Mr. London flew to London last month.
Me: Yeah, I heard.
(silence)
Me: I heard Mr. C is going out with Ms. C.
Ms. Witness: Seriously?
Me: What? Why?
Ms. Witness: No, Nothing.
Me: Not! You like him?! Seriously?!
Ms. Witness just stares away.
Me: Since when?!omg. Howcome I didn’t know?
Ms. Witness: Since he played that guitar.
(Mr. C and Ms. C enter the hall. Holding hands.)
Ms. Witness: ouch.
Me: For a month now, I heard. H told me. Yesterday.
Ms. Witness: but I never saw it coming.
Me: neither did I.
Ms. Witness: My gosh, my heart is breaking at the sight of this. (laughs)
Me: I can hear it. It’s deafening. ( laugh.)
Ms. Witness: Shut up! (laughs) It’s not like I don’t know you like London!
Me: Shut up.
Ms. Witness: I was expecting you to deny that.
(We both laugh)
Me: You heard my heart too. (still laughing) You’re the f*n star witness, I should assassin you.
Ms. Witness: Shut up! It’s not like he broke your heart.
(silence)
Me: Get over it.
Ms. Witness: What are you gonna tell me (mimicks) “I don’t wanna talk about it?”
Me: No. I mean, you get over the C’s.
Ms. Witness: Yeah. I need to pee.
(She stands up. Her eyes need gonna pee).
This is not about me. It’s about her. I love you Witness. Brace your heart.
